Agreeing to these terms

These terms are between you and Monobath ("we", "us"). By using this website, joining the beta list, or using the Monobath app, you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Monobath. You must be at least 14 years old.

The beta

A beta is software before its release. It can have bugs, change without notice, or stop working, and we may end the beta or limit who can join it. Joining the list doesn't guarantee a place in the beta.

Monobath never changes or moves your original scans, but keep a backup of your work all the same. Please keep beta builds to yourself. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve Monobath, without owing you anything for it.

Buying Monobath

Monobath isn't for sale yet. When it is, it will be sold on the Mac App Store: Apple will take the payment, add any taxes, and handle refunds, and Apple's standard licence for App Store apps will apply along with these terms.

The free version converts up to 6 photos in one library, with every tool. A one-time purchase removes those limits. There is no subscription. "Pay once" means you don't pay again for Monobath for as long as we offer it, and it lasts the life of the product, not yours: if we ever stop making Monobath, the copy you bought keeps working as long as your Mac can run it, but we can't promise updates for new versions of macOS.

We may later sell optional extras, such as more profiles. Nothing you already bought will be taken away or put behind a new payment.

Your photos

Your scans and photos are yours. Monobath works on them on your Mac, and we get no rights to them. You may use Monobath's profiles in any photo you make, including commercial work.

The one exception: scans you choose to send us with the contribution form. The scan contribution terms apply to those.

Using the website properly

Don't:

• sign up other people, or use addresses that aren't yours;
• try to break, overload or get around the website or its bot check;
• scrape it or use it through automated means.

Our work

The app, its profiles, its name, this website and their design belong to us. You may use them to use Monobath as intended, and not to copy, resell or reverse-engineer them.

No guarantees, and limits on our liability

Monobath and this website are provided "as is" and "as available". We work to make the conversions accurate and the app reliable, but we can't promise it will be error-free or suit every scan. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost files or photos, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it, or CAD $20 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that can't be limited, including under consumer protection law in Quebec.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Quebec, except that if you're a consumer you may also bring a claim where you live, if the law gives you that right.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and if the change is significant we'll tell the beta list by email before it takes effect. Using Monobath after that means you accept the new terms. Questions: contact@monobath.app.
