Scan contribution terms

What these terms cover

These terms apply when you send us scans with the form on monobath.app. "Your scans" means the files you share with us, and the photos in them. These terms add to our terms of use; where the two differ, these terms apply to your scans.

Your photos stay yours

You keep the copyright and every other right in your scans. Sending them doesn't make us their owner. You can keep using, selling and licensing your photos as you like.

The licence you give us

By sending your scans, you give Monobath a licence to use them. The licence is:

• non-exclusive: you can give the same rights to anyone else;
• worldwide and free of royalties: the discount below is the only payment;
• perpetual and irrevocable: it doesn't end, and you can't take it back once you've sent your scans;
• non-transferable: we can't sell it, sublicense it or transfer it to anyone else.

Under this licence, we may copy and store your scans, convert them into positives, edit them (for example crop, resize, straighten, remove dust, and adjust colour and contrast), and show the results, for these purposes only:

• to test, develop and improve Monobath;
• to show them, and photos made from them, on monobath.app, on Monobath's pages in the App Store, and on Monobath's social media accounts.

We won't sell your scans, add them to stock libraries, or let anyone else use them. Services that store data for us, such as cloud storage, may hold them for us and for no other purpose.

Credit

If you fill in the credit field, we show that credit with your photo wherever there is room for it, such as a caption on this website. Some places have no room for one, such as a screenshot in the App Store. If you leave the field empty, we don't name you. To change your credit later, write to contact@monobath.app.

What you promise

When you send scans, you confirm that:

• you took the photos, or you have the right to give us this licence for them;
• anyone who can be recognized in them agreed to their picture being shown in public;
• you're 18 or older, or a parent or guardian agreed to these terms for you;
• your scans don't break any law or anyone else's rights.

If someone tells us that one of your photos breaks their rights, we may take it down.

Your discount

If your link works and holds scans of film, we email you a code for up to 66% off a Monobath licence, when Monobath launches. There is one code per person, however many scans you send. The code has no cash value.

We may not use them

We may use all, some or none of your scans, and we don't have to show any of them.

Your personal information

We handle your name, your email address and the details you send as our privacy policy describes. We keep them, with the email that records your agreement to these terms, for as long as we use your scans.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms, the new version applies only to scans sent after the change. The version you agreed to stays in force for the scans you already sent. Questions: contact@monobath.app.
